I don't like his methods, he's immature, throws temper tantrums, sets a bad example and I wouldn't want my son to play for him. Having said that, he is a winner and his programs have never been investigated for NCAA violations and a lot of coaches don't reflect those positives. I think overall, he is good for college ball, but I'm not a Tech fan and I wouldn't want to see my school (Arkansas) hire him.

Defintly good. When you go to play for Bobby Knight, you know what kind of situation you are putting yourself in. He may be hard to play for, but he sets all of his players up to be better, more responsible adults. His players go to class, and actually get an education. Maybe it is because I am in the military, but I beleive that strict discipline at a young age makes for better adults. As far as basketball, Bobby Knight is probably the best X and O coach in the game today, at any level. He's intense, motivated, and doesn't accept failure, which are all qualities I look for in a great coach. I would want my kids to play for him.

Basketball at all levels could use more coaches like Bobby Knight. I played for a HS coach just like Bobby Knight, and he was the best coach I ever had. Bobby Knight knows basketball better than any coach out there, and his players respect him and love to play for him.

Beyond Bad!!.... His imperialistic, egotistical, juvenile and idiotic style of coaching is an embarrassment to the NCAA and sports in general. Look up the word- A$$ Hole and you will find his picture... As for his stats.... not that great!!! What has he done since he "got fired" from Indiana.... Nothing!!!! The sport should say "good night" to D#@k Head "Knight".... Just a thought.... Peace.....

He coaches the game the right way. You learn how to play for him. Most of his players would still run through a wall for him to this day. Not everyone can play for him but he wants the right players for his methods...same as only certain players can play in Roy Williams', Coach K's, or any other coaches' system.
He might not the most cuddly guy out there, but I know if my son plays for him he's going to learn how to do things correctly.

He has had some terse situations but how can you negate what this man and his name has meant and provided to Colege athletics, students and NCAA basketball.
He is a legend. He has been successful. He has shaped lives. He has paved the way for basketball.
I say good.
