I don't know where you can watch tv for free, but you can download tv shows, or entire tv seasons from a downloading program called uTorrent. With it, i downloaded seasons 3 and 5 of Law & Order, as well as tons of shows that i haven't seen in years.The best part is that it's absoloutley free!

Networks are now placing shows on their own websites. ABC gives viewers access to whole shows that you can watch on your computer. NBC allows downloading to ipods for some shows. Just find the website of your favorite show's network and see what they have available.
