My whole life it has been like I have always been needed and never wanted. People only want me around when they have a problem to solve and then they don't have any need for me anymore and I'm tired of it. My life is worthless and meaningless.

Others have answered 'depression' and I agree. Seek help asap. I get what you are saying, and this is about self esteem. Sounds too like you could do with some new people in your life who value you, but first you need to value you. You are not worthless; each and everyone of us has a purpose. You know this time of year is particularly hard regardless of whether you believe in Christmas or not, many people feel as you do, but there is a way through. I believe that when we look outside ourselves and see what we can offer others we can shift our thinking. I know some kids who were feeling sorry for themselves because they were only getting one Christmas present this year. They were introduced to kids who really had nothing and they stepped back from their own needs and thought about how they could help. Refocusing does make a difference even if right now you may not be able to see it. It takes time to recover from depression, but the sooner you seek help the sooner you will feel better about you. You do want to live, you want to live a better life and good for you for speaking out on this site.

You sound like a people pleas-er to me and that is not a bad thing until you start pleasing other at the expense of yourself. You need someone to talk to, anyone, and if they don't get it, go tell someone else until you find someone that does, and I promise you, you will find someone. Don't be shamed of how your feeling right now, the fact that you have helped these people, even though there has been no returns, shows so much about who you are. That fact the people are coming to you means that they trust you, and your opinion. Maybe when you get over the feelings of worthlessness, you could study to become a councilor and get paid for this. Good Luck

i go through the same thing. when i get stressed and fed up. i give up. and i dont think im suicidal but i feel tired and i feel like going into a deep sleep and not waking up. I think this way because i want just to let go of all of my problems for a little bit. I think there is a point where everybody gets like this. but there are ways to prevent. try to do something u like. that will get u out of that mood. if u like dancing and singing, then dance and sing. look for postitive things to do. like i listen to postive music.(kirk franklin:looking for u) which helps. i go to sleep and when i wake up i get up and organize my problems and decide what to do.For get about all those people u helped. This is UR TIME. do what YOU want to do.

Sounds like depression. It might be something simple to fix, so you should go to a doctor first and get a physical. Then go to a counselor.

Your life has value, you just don't see it.
