i am reposting this question, because i didnt get all the details of my arguement in the first time.

Yes, english Voice Overs do often suck, but that doesnt stop lots of them from really shining.

as in the last time, i spoke of hellsing, and how it made more sense they spoke in english, because they were in london. (with the exception of Alucard, because he isnt english, and PIp, because i know he is french. hopefully Pip will make an appearence in the ovas...)

in Ergo Proxy, Re-l's voice is much more her..well, style. hints of sarcasm, a slightly darker sounding voice, (much more fitting than her unnessessarily girlsh - yes, GIRLISH - japanese counterpart, and the simple fact that it is in english (Re'l's skin is very light white, clearly not asian, possibly european) greatly improves her character.

the problem with the belief that all jap subs are better than their english counterparts is, it has quickly become a stereotype.

many people miss out on great voice acting, of their favurite animes! there are plaenty more animes which are more apropriate in english than in japanese, for english speaking viewers.

there ones that are particularely bad in english, such as full metal alchemist, and naruto.

but what about english VAs that are good? lets see: starting with the two i listed before, there is also trigun, gungrave, noir, wolf's rain, Blood, and Blood+. there are more, believe me.

coboy bebop and spirited away are two animes i wouldn't say are better than the jap version, but i think they are just as good.

i know most voices suck. but like the dub verison of naruto. they made a catch phrase for naruto which everyone knows it which is BELIVE IT!!. he says it like 3 times in like 2min it gets very annoying.and says it like alot in a episode. he shouldnt even say it in the first place. i even seen the catch phrase on naruto stuff like shirts, and a whole bunch of stuff. I was like omg. they reword the sentences to. yes i do agree with u that all jap subs are better than their english counterparts is and it had become a stereotype. i do watch the dubs first and then start watching the sub..then i decided which one i like better.

Well alot of things are cut out in dubs and stay cut in DVDs. Well this is way it was when I first watching anime. I guess people got so used to getting gypped of the whole anime they stuck to the japanese.

well, not all english dubbings suck. take pokemon for example. it's not so bad. but then again, not all english dubbings are good. take card captor sakura for example. hehe...these are just some of my opinions. ^_^V
