Nintendo was targeting 2 million units of sale by year end. They just revised the figure to 4 million units so expect more units soon. However, the 4 million units are world wide shipments I think so supplies will still be tight. There are reports on the internet that the console shortage will persist until March.

More are being shipped out every week, but they sell so quickly it will be difficult to actually buy one before the end of the year.
Preorder it at your local game store, that way you'll be more likely to get one of the few that do come in.

they get shipments every week but they r hard to get cause best buy gets an average 15 a week, and u have those ppl with no lives who wait on line at 3am

No, I heard a rumor that none would be shipped out until march, but its just a rumor...could always check ebay
