There is a truck manufactured by Chevy that is really cool, and it comes this way stock, no customization needed. The head and tail lights are very unique, has a corral (don't know if that's spelled right) hood, bucket seats, etc. It is not an SSR, my thinks the name is similar though, maybe like SSV, but I cannot find anything like it.

My father has a silverado SS. stock from GM, it is lowered, had 20" wheels, different side moldings, and is AWD, instead of 2wd/4wd like the regular silverado. it also has the 6L V8 with like 360 hp. i think that is what you are talking about.

The guys are probably right, and like one said, get the two wheel drive version.
OR get a Silverado with a 5.3, do some engine mods, and smoke down an SS. lol I've got 1300 in engine bolt ons an I smoke them and stangs. They're easy to work on and fun.
You can check mine out if you want, might give you some ideas.

I think forjj hit it. Sounds like you are looking for the Chevy SS pickup. I'm not sure they have a cowl hood, but they are pretty sweet looking right off the lot.

Here is a picture of an SS pickup, just to see if we are guessing correctly: http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/rp/images/03silverado_ss2.jpg
