Are you talking about the 3D paper stars?
Depends on how big you want them.
Get some A4 paper and cut lengthways into 1cm wide strips.
Now THINK 'PENTAGON'.
Fold the end into a pentagon and keep double backing the strip of paper until it is all used up, tuck the end it. Then pinch the sides until it expands ino 3D.

when you say chinese stars do you mean throwing stars? if so then borrow one from a friend and cut it out of metal sharpen the edges and get them just right ...... when you are satisfied with the outcome... temper the metal so that it is as hard as it can get it......... then resharpen then with a home or fine stone. hope this helps ......not much to go on
