It probably is in the elbow part of the pipe under the sink. No big deal getting that off to check it out, a wrench should do it, ( maybe some WD 40 if the pipe is really old). Just hope there has not been a lot of pressure from the water since you dropped it. Next time, plug the sink when having small items around it, right?

A hardware store usually has a long device with a magnet on the end of it to attract something like a metal earring. It should be narrow enough to fit down a drain. If the earring has no metal, then you'll probably have to dismantle the drain pipe to get at it. Good luck.

You're going to have to get somebody to open up the pipes. It'll probably be sitting right where the pea trap is (the s shaped part). Hope it is heavy enough, otherwise the drained water might just push it right thru and it'll be lost for good. Good luck!

If you haven't made anything push through the drains try taking off the elbow pipe and see if it's in there. If you have run water it's to late. You can try taking the drain apart and looking if it's caught, but don't get your hopes up.
