I just watched the "Wicker Man" on DVD. It said it contained a more "shocking ending". What was the ending at the movie theater?

flip the dvd over and you will see the theatre ending. the "shocking" ending showed more detail of his torture before the burning. the bees on his face and the breaking of his legs. the theatrical ending didn't show that but it showed two of those trollops in a bar looking to pick up a couple of guys for more sacrifices

You must be talking about the stupid american version. The british wicker man is awesome. Watch that instead and don't worry about the ending of such a stupid, sorry movie. Rent the original. You won't be disappointed.

Well at the end of the movie he finds out that the girl that he was trying to find was not actually lost so then they put him in this big man with animals and it was all made up of wood and then the little girl got a stick with fire and put it on the man and then the fire went up onto the guy and he died and at the end the moother of the girl and her friend went to go date these other guys and they started to talk and then i guess there might be a sequel.
