where can i get evolution stones in pokemon ruby version?

water stone-abandon ship(surf and dive is needed)
leaf stone-route 119,the end of the water(surf is needed)
thunderstone-new mavilew(surf is needed)
sun stone-rocket space centre

the other ways of getting it is gettng shards and exchange it for stones.

red shard-firestone(search it around the route that is next to mosdeep city.)

green shard-leafstone(search it around the route that is next to mosdeep city.)can also be obtain through catching a relicanth

blue shard-water stone(search it around the route that is next to mosdeep city.)

yellow shard-thunderstone.(search it around the route that is next to mosdeep city.)

ok well i have sapphire,ruby, & emerald
the water stones fire stones, leaf stones are located in mossdeep city go down and up till u hit the little silver rock then make a left and surf across to rt 124 to the hunters house go inside and talk 2 the guy if not go 2 the wall it also tells u the wanted stones make sure u have a water pkmn that knows surf & dive there's a dive spot 2 your left be sure 2 also use your itemfinder when under water to find the wanted stones. as for the moon stone talk 2 the kid that's walking around near the 4 trees next 2 the pkmn center he'll give u a moon stone. good luck :)

Outside of Mosdeep City there is a man who will trade evolution stones for shards. These shards are obtained by diving throughout route 124, 125 and 126 and in the lighter patcher, search there and you may uncover a shard, take them to him and exchange them as follows:

+Red Shard-Fire Stone
+Yellow Shard- Thunder Stone
+Green Shard -Leaf Stone
+Blue shard -Water Stone

Also in the cave underneath mt. chimney, if you take the left-hand route after getting streagth, move the boulder and follow the passage and you'll find a fire stone.


If you have leaf green or fire red you can purcahse them there and trade over a pokemon to your ruby version with a stone attached.
