I just did... I just started reading Skeleton Crew by Stephen King, and the first "short story" that was in there was Mist, which is over 150 pages long... I was expecting a quick short story that I could finish in a couple of minutes and I got THAT...
Gosh...

This is a short story lol!
On average 100 pages is what I read of a book at one sitting. Depending of course on the font size.

Ever got into the book the Stand? Now this is something to complain about....and it was so darn good!

Maybe if you would go Online and see how many pages a short story is then start reading? I hate getting into a book then not have enough time to finish gggrrrr!

Good story, great book. Hang in there. It's worth the read. Stephen King has often been referred to as an author with diarrhea of the pen. The un cut version of The Stand was over 1100 pages and is one of the best books he's ever written.

Yeah! I started the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan a year ago and I'm only on Book 3! I want to finish them but I never have time to just sit for hours and read!

Yep- I read Shogun once...took me about 2 months. Normally I breeze through a good book in a weekend.

I've asked myself that question nearly every day for the last ten years or so...& I still don't know the answer to it either.

Stephen King....short?! *snicker* God, I hope not!

I used to ask that question to myself 1000 times every second but I stopped because...
