Whales are so fat because they don't swim like us. They just moving slowly in the water. Whales aren't that fat, they just have a lot of blubber.

It's beneficial to them! It protects them from the cold. Evolutionarily speaking, the more blubber a whale has the better it is protected from the cold of the ocean, so the more likely it is to reproduce and have fat whale babies.
Humans, however, have lovely clothes and indoor heating, so we have no evolutionary benefits to having a lot of blubber.

It's not exercise for whales. For them swimming around is like going to the fridge is for us.

Their bodies are geared up to swim effectively, and to shop up extra fat to maintain them heat in the chilly waters they stay in. in the event that they did no longer have that lots fat, they had freeze to loss of life.

Whales are'nt fat, that's a misconception because of their size. It's also like that for elephants, hippos, and rhinos.
