how can i segregate the two.

Texas cichlids are tough to sex... The females are less brightly colored and usually smaller then the males. Older males will develop a cranial bump typical in some cichlids, but your texas cichlid looks too young for that.
Otherwise, Sexing these fish is usually via a dark blotch in the base of the dorsal fin.

Anyway, my best guess is male based on the dark sploch at the base of the end of the dorsal fin, but at that age, it's pretty well hard to tell.

If you want to breed them, get a group of 5-6 young texas cichlids to make sure you have at least 1 of each.
