It is supposed to but you have to throw it correctly. It takes time and a skill to do that though. It just doesn't come back, it has to be thrown a certain way.

Does a boomerang return when "I" throw it...NO. Though I have seen people on t.v. that have practiced with one alot, and with enough practice maybe you can get it to return to you. I'm too lazy to try learning this particular skill.

Thats the whole point of it being a boomerang...otherwise it would just be a frisbee

Yes it actually does. Although you have to throw it just right.

It will if you are in a big open space. My brother got one when he was a kid. It takes practice. I think it ended up in the Erie Canal before he got the hang of it.
