I would prefer pattern sizes to be between 6" & 10".

You can take tissue paper and put it over any picture of fairies and trace it with a Sharpie marker. Then just transfer it on to
the fabric of your choice.

give that a try, also I found this just by searching "free cross stitch patterns" on yahoo, but it should give you a good selection on any search engine.
Plus these are all free patterns, you just have to sing up for a site membership, but that is free too just allows you to access the patterns.
