It is not necessary to give money and "buy" land on the moon.
You can do what others have done in the past, and now they have subdivided this land into "LOTS" and sell the lots. Not to mention the "market" of merchantise they have created and make good money:)
They have got, the land, by "claiming" a proportion of specific and defined land within exact boundaries (as far as this proportion hasn't been claimed by someone else) through "Archimedes Space Law Institute". You can claim as well any other celestial bodies that they still are available.

With a few words YES. You can register by claiming into your name, a celestial body, through Archimedes Space Law Institute.

The "terms" are that you must have full details for the body you claim, that means you must have some special knowledge in Astronomy or regards to Moon, the lunar topography and mapping. Below there are some claims where you can check "How you can make your claim"
As far as some say that "You cannot claim a property in space and all the bull$hit......" I pass the information that:
According to International Treaty 1967,
"Article II
Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means", but it leaves open to the "individual" appropriation.
below is the full text of the Treaties. check it.

You can find more info at the "Archimedes'" site, as well you'll see claims that have been done by individuals and have got into their names Land in the moon and they resale it (Lunarembassy) or hundreds of "Galaxies", and they are the richest (on paper) persons int the world.

Of course it is nothing "serious" it is like a game in "MONOPOLY" you get properties that you cannot use them and currently have no value.... But you never know.:)

Good luck....and have pacience..... you can DO it.:)

Sorry if the links didn't work properly before.....NOW THEY DO....:)

Since nobody owns the Moon, who would you buy it from? So, no, you can't buy property on the Moon. There are some people who will sell you some, but since they don't really own it, it isn't theirs to sell. And later, someone could take it away from you and you would have no recourse. Of course, all this is moot until there are lot pf people on the Moon. Enough people so that it becomes important for one of them to be able to exclude another. After all, that is all you get with property, the right to post a keep out sign and enforce it.

No.
By international treaty, the moon was declared the property of all humans a long time ago, and none of it is available to be bought or sold.
There are, of course, *scam* companies which will claim to sell you a deed...if you're gullible enough to fall for that, I have little sympathy for you :)

Property, no, but you can buy land on the moon in order to prevent wholesale mineral exploitation. Go to one of my three favourite ethical/interesting websites, where you can also buy land on Mars and Venus, I think.

The moon is like international waters - no one owns it, so no one can legally sell it. But there are plenty of websites that will 'sell' you a 'deed' to a piece of it, if you don't mind wasting your money. And if you want to do that, I have a bridge to sell you.

There are some fairly large craters there, if you have a big family. However, if you're hoping Tesco or Sainsbury's will deliver your food for £5, I don't think you'll be lucky!!!
