Pretend I'm applying for a job with the original, originator himself, Walt Disney....add a mix of a Donald Trumpish type of guy and throw in a dash of Willy Wonka.......he's very easily bored, seen it all, and leans towards being in need of something dramatic. This is who I'm trying to work for/with.
I need help coming up with scenerios, ideas, concepts, etc. to get his attention and for him to know I'm serious about my need to collaborate with him. Oh sure, I've tried all the traditional methods....I've tried the front door, the back door, the chimney, humor, sarcasm, challenges, etc. Now I need help. This person has rented out Walt Disney World before so I'm very challenged. (financially as well)
Please give me your wildest thoughts on how to get someones attention, in a creative, positive way. Think scavenger hunt to prove creativity, passion and drive or something else, but try to leave my desperation out of it. :-D
I need that environment to feel whole........HELP!!

I should clarify; He doesn't live in one of the 5 top cities, he has a very small office, is low key, and has retained a very small crew of devoted employees, so it's hard to "break in". He's not famous but his creations have been visited by millions worldwide.
I need a unique and playful way to deliver my ideas and concepts to him. He knows who I am, but he's very guarded and busy with projects and obviously I lacked "wow" factor...not my ideas, my delivery. I'm looking for America's craziest ideas to capture his need to be humored and entertained.............let's say he's unique like Richard Branson of Virgin Airlines. It's a tough gig. Lay it on me people!!! Thanks

Look, there are only 2 ways to approach this situation.

First, you can approach him directly, and lay out your wants: "I want to collaborate with you, because I admire your work, and here is what I can offer." (experience, creativity, latest work, devotion 'til death, etc).

The second way is to discover how he decided to collaborate with others in the past, how he chose to hire his small crew of devoted employees, and then make yourself, and your desires, visible to him as that kind of person, employee, architect, designer, or whatever.

If you have done this before, then go ask him what it would take.

If you really do something eccentric, creative, original, and all that, he may hire you, or he might decide that you're a bit unbalanced, and avoid you.

I had positions which were coveted sometimes, but whenever anyone asked if they could work for me, I tried my damnedest to help them out, or I honestly told them no. Anyone who did something outrageous to impress me got a visit, but not necessarily, a job..

So, if it truly means impressing an ego, you need to be sure he'll notice that as a positive thing.

Good luck.

Well, there's one thing I noticed about your question that is a grievous mistake. The sentence was "I need help coming up with scenarios, ideas, concepts, etc. to get his attention and for him to know I'm serious about my need to collaborate with him."

Why the hell should he care about YOUR need to collaborate with HIM? Fact of the matter is you need to convince him of why it's in HIS interest to collaborate with YOU...

study him
as if you were going to write his biography.

write his biography
short. clever.
end chapter includes scenario where he hires you!

use pics.

print & deliver in person.
ask him to autograph your copy of his bio.

maybe he'll be intigued enough to read it
and laugh at the ending.
(and hire you)

g'luck.
