I need to get a part for my oven so my pilot light will stay on.
I forgot the name of it.
Can anyone help me? I also need it installed. Who would I call?

Sounds like you are talking about the thermocouple. The thermocouple is the little "thingy" that stick out into the pilot light to sense that the flame is there to prevent gas leaks.

If you don't know a good appliance repairman or shop; you might try calling Sears and asking them. they have a service department that works on all brands of appliances.

And what you are talking about is your flame guard. It serves two functions. It shuts the gas off if you lose gas pressure. The second function is it shuts the gas off if your pilot light goes out. for some reason other than lose of gas pressure.
The flame rod might just need cleaning. BUT IF YOU ARE NOT ABSOLUTELY 200% CERTAIN ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING IT IS BEST TO CALL AN APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN. GAS HAS A NASTY HABIT OF KILLING PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

When it comes to gas, I would never recommend someone do it themselves. Sears can be more expensive with others, but you know they will do a good job. You can also contact the manufacturer for a list of service companies.

Call an appliance repairman if you will need it installed. They should already have the part or at least know what you need.
