I created a CD off of Audacity, a music editing software program. I burned it into a wav formatted disc. It plays in my CD player but through half the CD, it skips. In the computer, it plays perfectly fine. There is not one scratch on the disc. I know the CD player can support these kinds of discs. Is that why it isn't playing, because the format is in wav? Please help.

I'm not on my mac right now that has audacity but at home, I use audacity and I also downloaded freeware application called LAME that saves the files as mp3's. Go here: http://www-users.york.ac.uk/~raa110/audacity/lame.html

I burn cd-r's and don't have any problems after exporting as mp3 after installing that library thinger.

attempt rubbing toothpaste on the cd and then washing it off. via doing this the little products of silica will fill the voids, and rub off any extra buildup on the cd. attempt to apply around motions while rubbing the cd. If this would not paintings take it decrease back to the placement that "fixed" it.
