yes! I am 22 weeks and still have them. I have a whopper right now in fact.
According to the american pregnancy center, headaches are one of the most common complaints of pregnancy. Blame it on those pesky hormones.
Look at it this way: only 30 weeks to go! LOL
Hang in there. I find that tylenol helps (but you can safety take ONLY ONE extra-strength tablet, not two, during pregnancy) and so does splashing hot water on my face or placing hot washcloths on my face and resting in a quiet, dark room.
Since I can't do that right now since I am at work on deadline, I am eating chocolate (Ritter Sport bar with almonds) instead. Probably won't help but it makes me feel better! LOL

I had headaches like that just before the end of the first trimester. Mine were really bad, where I was vomiting every time I moved and seeing static rolling across my field of vision. I tried tylenol and caffeine but it didn't help at all. I was worried about the blood pressure issue but checked my blood pressure and it was normal. I had to call my doctor because of the pain, and he prescribed Fioricet, which is a tylenol/caffeine/barbituate combination. After that, I would take the prescription pain meds at the beginning of the headache (which I could predict because everything seemed to have much more color than usual, and if I looked at something and then looked away I would see a glowing image of what I had looked at), go to sleep, and when I woke up the headache would be gone.

They likely are the result of hormonal changes. Unlike you, I have migraines when I'm NOT pregnant but they go away when I'm pregnant. The one time I had a terrible migraine while pregnant, I knew something was wrong. I went to my OB and found that I had miscarried at 10 weeks. Not that this is the case for you. Just wanted to let you know they likely are hormonal.
Other than tylenol, try some caffeine (helps with a migraine), or squeezing the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger, or a neck massage. Oh, also, try an ice pack around your neck.
Feel better.

I remember getting headaches around that time frame as well. They can be attributed to the massive hormonal changes taking place in your body as your baby grows.
Taking Extra Strength Tylenol is safe. Take 2 tablets every 6-8 hours as needed. Also, a warm bath or a cool towel on the forehead can help a great deal.
They really do improve as your hormones stabilize. The first trimester (which ends around 14 weeks) is generally the most difficult in the way of funky "symptoms".
Hang in there!

I would take a couple of Tylenol and take a nap, sometimes I would wake up and it would be gone and sometimes not. I think this is totally normal as both my sisters and I experienced these horrible headaches. Remember to drink lots of water :) Best Wishes!

Try not to take an perscription medications, soemtimes htey can damage the children. I reommend taking a natural remedy, talk to someone at a local health food store. Herbal remedies work better anyway =P
Btw, pregnancy isn't fun. Headaches are just part of it, they come with the territory.

Hi I'm 16 weeks pregnant & have been having horrible headaches as well. I went to my dr today for them & mine are due to sinus pressure. but there are many reasons for bad headaches while pregnant. it could be your blood pressure, or just your body getting used to all the hormones that are producing very quickly. Ask your dr. & he will be able to tell you what is wrong in your case. good luck, enjoy your pregnancy, & i hope you feel better!!!

Normal. I had them the first 3 months...get rest and try not to stress over anything too much. They will go away. Stay away from caffeine and chocolate, they can bring on headaches as well in first trimester.

I got headaches when I was pregnant because I cut out caffeine. You should limit your caffeine, but one cup of coffee or soda a day won't hurt anything. If they are caffeine headaches they will eventually go away when you get used to doing without the caffeine.

I'm 14 wks with my second. I get those headaches too, I hear they are totally normal. Just ask your Dr next time you go in. Naps seem to help mine or maybe you need to snack on something like an orange with some natural sugars in it. Sorry I wasn't much help. Good luck.
