go to stores that sell them in different lengths, gap is nice. they make pants in petite, ankle, regular, long and tall.

There are stores that have Long length jeans. The GAP, NY&Co. Jean manufacturers are actually starting to make the inseam of pants longer, for people like yourself. The more expensive, usually European designers have always made longer leg jeans. Most of their jeans are designed with a model as an inspiration, so the legs are longer, and generally more slender.

You should go check it out. And when you find a pair buy as many as you can in that style (different colors).

Try them on before you buy them. In most stores they have the size AND the pant length. ex. 7 long, 7 average, 7 short.

Buy pants that do not already have the cuffs sewn down.
Realize that longer is coordinated with larger, so you will need the slim styles to allow you to keep them up with a belt.

I'm fairly tall as well and had this problem for the longest time.
Look for pants that have "long" or "tall" sizes. I know Levi's makes them. Calvin Klein does too. I like New York & Company. Pretty much any reputable brand name makes them.

never buy pants that are too short. pants that are too long can be tailored for a small fee.

if you are buying pants and the size says average get the ones that say tall.

try looking at different places that sell "LONG" jeans\
American Eagle
Express
Abercrombie and Fitch
Gap
Other designer stores
Also, if you find a pair of jeans that you LOVE the fit, only they are too short, consider buying them and rolling up the cuff to make them capris. I LOVE this look!

omg!! i have the same problem....it sucks because it fits so nice on ur butt but when u look down the hem is up on ur ankles...im like DARN!! i try on jeans insistently in all of my favorite stores and i can never find jeans long enough...i have to wear low shoes, not heels bc i cant find pants to cover them....i never been to gap or ny company...my best friend is 6'0 and she tells me she gets her jeans at buckle...but they are like 100 bucks...yeah...well good luck to us ALL tall women! :)
