Office supply stores sell LCD screen cleaner spray. They also sell lint-free cloths specifically designed to wipe the screen after spraying. I have used regular glass cleaner on my screen and not had a problem, however if you can afford the special cleaner, that is the way to go.

tint-safe windex and a lint free cloth, spray the windex on the cloth, then just clean it, but don't allow and windew to pool and run down into the monitor

You should never use any chemical cleaner on your LCD.
A damp cloth or towel does wonders.
