Does your school have rules on how short your skirt can be? If so, how is it worded?

At the 2 schools where I have worked it has been "fingertip length" or "pop can length."

All skirts must be at least fingertip length. Place your hands at your side. If your skirt is shorter than where your fingertips reach then the skirt is too short.

All skirts must be pop can length. Kneel on the floor and place a pop can in front of you. If your skirt touches the pop can then the length is acceptable. If it is too short to reach the can then your skirt is too short.

We do... but basically all it amounts to is whether the principal thinks the girl looks good in it or not. The hot girls never get in trouble, but the average ones aren't so lucky. Its pretty messed up.

The "rule" though is if you sit on your knees, it can't go up more than 6" past your knee (a dollar bill). It really sucks if you are tall.

I go to a private school so the uniform skirts are a bit long.
They say it has to be 3 inches BELOW the knee but we just get them made for right to the knee.

yeah, they say the skirt has to be as far down as the student's middle finger when standing up, but that is way too indecent anyways.

mine does. from the top of ur knee to the hem of the skirt it cannot be more than 4 inches.

My sisters school does. She 17.

You put your arms down at your side and if it doesnt pass your fingertips, its too short.

I think ours is it you put your hands to your side and the skirt is shorter then were your hands lay, you cant wear it. Hope that helps!

well, at my school, we wear a uniform. they do make it not totally long, not to short. lay your hands on your sides and if it does not pass your fingertips, i think is too short
