University panels will *always* look at grades first, so all your (very useful) social experience is irrelevant if you don't have the required grades.

Once your grades have been approved, your personality and character will be assessed. On this point, you seem to be a good candidate.

But those grades are essential!

What's your socio-economic status? Single parent home?

On stats alone, I'm afraid your chances don't look the greatest. GPA, SAT, and extra currics. You're in an area (assuming from the LB CC comment) where there are quite a few kids with better stats. So, you're gonna have to show you came from a non-privileged background (or some other disadvantage beyond simply being the first to college) to explain why your stats aren't quite as good as the other kids. I'm not saying you don't have impressive stats, just that Stanford is VERY competitive to get into. It can be scary seeing the resumes of the kids who get in.

You have a low to decent chance. Colleges LOVE applicants that are first to go to college, so they tend to overlook lower scores of those who are first to go to college. However, that might not always be the case. I assume that you're from California, so I hope you applied to the UCs as well! The UCs also love applicants that are first to go to college.

With a 4.5 weighted, 1560 SAT (old), a few 800s on the SAT IIs, National Merit Finalist, California Governor's Scholar, seven 5s on the AP, etc, I didn't get into Stanford.

Good luck.
