What do liberals have to gain by scaring everyone with the global warming myth?

It has nothing to do with global warming. Liberals feel the need to be faithful to the most pious of things as defined by them. It is a religion in that they have a belief system in which everyone must believe or die. If global warming doesn't occur they will be off to global cooling. The thing is they are more enlightened than the rest of us heathens. It's a superiority complex that they indulge. Capitalists support this because they see an opportunity to make money from a segment of the population that buys into their nonsense. One of my companies cleans carpet and ductwork of "dangerous" mold. I have clients that have it done 4 times a year at $1,200 a pop. Guess which way they lean? The problem is that "dangerous" mold has been here in South Texas as long as people have. Global warming is their FAITH! All this eco stuff is what they have built their lives upon. You must decide if you are going to continue being a heathen ;)

Well, I am sure there is lots of evidence for global warming. It is a scientific fact and the stuff on the website you referred to may not be considered by mainstream scientists as correct. Important thing is to realise that it is not a political thing!!!!! AIDS would not go away because we mix it with religion, and envirnment will not stabilise cause we mix it with politics. Realising facts as they are and realising that we need further studies in the field is the only way someone like you could understand the depth of the question.

The only people who keep denying that global warming is a fact are the same ones who think like conspiracy theorists, which really isn't thinking at all. Why is it that when facts aren't comfortable and easy they take a beating from the cowardly and lazy? Even worse are the ones who keep saying it's a natural earth cycle. It would be, IF we hadn't caused an acceleration never before seen, recorded, or uncovered by scientists.

Wake up fools the fact is that the World is getting hotter and although we may not be the root of the problem we are certainly a major factor. Industrialisation has meant we are pouring a whole lot of chemicals into the atmosphere and if you don't think that is doing anything you are silly.

Don't you notice the weather changing? Don't you think we could have a little more respect for this planet? Do you know anywhere else where we can live?

I do not know what liberal motives are in the Global Warming debate. Many are passionate about it which would lead me to believe that they believe it and think everyone else should also. I get a little miffed at their denigration when you challenge their positions, but I think their motives are sincere enough given their worldview. Now scientists on the other have a vested interest in having people believe it, it called government funding and it is their Bread and Butter.

What do we have to gain? We all have to live on this planet together, pal. How long do you think we can continue raping this planet, killing the Amazon, running our SUVs, polluting our air and poisoning our food so a few people can make a lot more money? Some right wingers are a little worried about it too, and are willing to put aside their prejudiced beliefs to work with some tree huggers to do something about it. maybe letting businesses operate with no regard to the environment saving companies billions...

I can't think of a thing liberals could gain... maybe bankrupting big businesses on a stretch... but that doesn't seem to be happening, even with the businesses paying to be environmentally conscience?

I see people saying they want power and money... but I don't see how they are getting it? do they own the companies that make environmental solutions? I dont' know?

Liberals gain control and they get to further their agenda. For example if they ban SUV's and other automobiles they have allowed government to control another segment of society. Socialists believe that governments are better suited to make decisions than individuals.

One of the officials that is pushing to enact the Kyoto protocols stated that it was more than just the environment that they wanted to save, Kyoto would also level the economic playing field.

I find the whole global warming scam ridiculous, when I was a small child the same groups were warning of the coming Ice Age. They have not changed tactics they have merely renamed the playbook.

How do you know it is a myth? Doesn't your intellect tell you that what we do on this earth in terms of pollution and nuclear testing, etc have to affect this planet and surrounding atmosphere. Doesn't that make sense to you?
