It depends on your definition for good and bad.
He's not playing bad, he can still score if he wants to, check out that game vs. rockets if you need prove.
Now Lamar is out, he needs to carry the team, he has to pass first and score later to get his young teammates going.
He is just back with 100%.
He's just too unselfish right now and it's not as fun to watch him.
Whe Lamar is back and mid-way through the season, he's back with his scoring and will be fun to watch again.
That's what he said- I'll do whatever it is to lead the team to victory.

He's still good, just not scoring as much, and not as much fun to watch.
But he will be back.

I wouldn't exactly say its his surgery. Yes he is a little bit slower but he only recieved anthroscoptic knee surgery, it's not as bad as microscoptic, he can fully recover from it. As far as his game it's the evolution of #24. Last season the Lakers depended on him to score 30+ every night, 35.4 to be exact, where as this year he has confidence in his players that they can put up quality shots and points. He is actually having a better year, as far as efficiency, than the last 2 just check out his avg. 27pts, 5ast, 5reb, and shooting career best 47%.

Have no idea, could be the coachng and it could be that Kobe wants a raise and is holding back on his playing ability. I think all athletes get paid too much anyway.

he plays best when the odds are against him or when something is on his mind. back when the lakers were in the finals and he had the rape case everyday when he came from court he had a great game.
