I RECEIVED THIS LETTER IN MY E-MAIL BOX TODAY...
"This letter may come to you as a surprise due to the fact that we have not yet met. I have to say that I have no intentions of causing you any pains so i decided to contact you through this medium.
As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is Razaq Samiu, a merchant in Dubai, in the U.A.E. I have been diagnosed with prostate and esophageal Cancer that was discovered very late due to my laxity in caring for my health. It has defiled all form of medicine and right now, I have only about a few months to live according to medical experts..."
THE REST OF THE LETTER WOULDN'T FIT, BUT I'M SURE YOU GET THE GIST OF IT. I've received letters like this before, and I was wondering if anyone else has as well.

HERE'S THE REST OF THE LETTER BY REQUEST...
I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone not even myself but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focus on my business as that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know
that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this
world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now that I know my time is near, I have willed and given most of my properties
and assets to my immediate and extended family members and as well as a few close friends and Schools in the UAE.

THE LETTER CONTINUES...
I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E, England and Ireland. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this my self any more. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and donate the money, which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria, they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have left for them. The last of my money which is the huge cash that I deposit in a bank in England Uk.

That is a Nigerian scam and should be deleted promptly. They try to get you to send money to them and in turn say that they will send you tons of money and a reward. You send them money and they run into trouble and need more money for "fees" and such. It keeps going like this until you are broke or they cease communication.

OHH!!! This happened to me before. It was a diffrent name but it was the same letter. When I had seen this letter it sound to good to be true. I emailed the person saying that I was sorry for the situation and asked them if this was a scam. The person immediately emailed me back the same day and told me its not. The person was a actually person. Then the next day someone emailed and told me that the person is in the hospital and is very sick and would like to deposit the money in my account ASAP. Of course I wasn't stupid so I just ignored the email. Then the next day the person emailed me again and got angry saying "We need you account number now so we could put the money in your account." Something just didn't feel right.Whoever it was was rushing me to do something I never wanted to do in the same place. After that last email the person stoped emailing me altogether. Please don't give those people any more infomation. Good luck

I'm sure I do receive them, I just don't read them, especially if they're in my junk folder. BUT I did know a guy that said something VERY similar to that at my school, but it was not for money, rather, he was trying to get back together with one of my friends who stopped seeing him because he was getting annoying and was stalking her. He told that to several people my friend knew and he is also from the UAE, I believe Dubai as well. He claimed to only have 7 months to live b/c of a tumor and he was dropping all his classes, but he was just trying to get to my friend.

Yeah, I have received emails with similiar requests in them. I usually delete them because they are what is called a "phishing" scam.

Everyone gets them.
Most are smart enough to delete them unopened.
If you open these sorts of emails run a virus scan now!
