Don't listen to those that haven't used these and get discouraged. I have been using a Diva Cup for about 6 months now, and it is absolutely great. I did get it online, though. Check out divacup.com and contact their customer service. They can probably direct you to a local supplier.

For the uninitiated, a menstrual cup is NOT outdated, and is way better than anything else on the market as far as comfort, reliability, health, and sanitation. They don't leak or smell, you don't have buy and throw away endless feminine disposibles, and you only have to empty it every 12 hours or so on lighter days. I can't believe people are willing to have sex with random strangers but can't handle just taking care of their own bodily fluids. It's only as gross as you want to think of it.

I didn't think they used those anymore...kinda like the sanitary belt. you may have to contact a specialty pharmacy or a medical supply company. In NYC there are a few:

Medical Supply Company - (718) 375-4734 - 1501 Gravesend Neck Rd, Brooklyn, NY
Medical Supply Company - (718) 769-0700 - 4760 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Tristate Medical Supply Company - (718) 599-5130 - 907 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn, NY

I actually managed to find them in wal-mart a few weeks ago. I don't know if it's something they carry all the time or even if they'll know what you're talking about if you were to call and ask :) but they were, as one would expect, in the isle with the pads and tampons. there were only a few boxes and not a large display by any means, but if you have a Wal-Mart near you it's worth checking out!
good luck

Edit: I just checked, they also carry them in cvs and eckerd under the brand name "instead"

I've never heard of a menstrual cup

Pardon my question, but why do you want menstrual cups? From what I read about them they actually sound quite gross and you have a risk of endometriosis...

Just asking :)
