There are SEVERAL great games out there for the DS.
The first one would be Urbz: Sims. It is a great interactive game with great goals. It is similar to the Xbox version, even though the graphics aren't as spectacular. The gameplay is still great. I was addicted to it rather quickly.
Another great game is Sims2. Just like Urbz, your character evolves through jobs and meets many different people. You have goals, which you must achieve to advance more into the game. The graphics are not SPECTACULAR, but are great. I am a Sims2 fanatic, so of course I would love this game, however, I would recommend this game if you are looking for a game that will have you addicted.
Another great game is Final Fantasy III. I would have to say that this game is my favorite for the DS. The characters evolve, both physically and mentally. The allies that you gain help you in many ways and help make the game more enjoyable. It is very challenging, which is one of the many factors that makes this game SO addicting. The plot is VERY interesting and keeps you on the edge of your seat with each move.
If you are looking for a more intellectual game, Brain Age is a great way to test your I.Q. I played it and improved each time. It helps your analysis and comprehension. As you see your score improve, you seem to feel better about the knowledge you hold. When I play this game, I don't feel as if I've wasted time.
If you are looking for a classic game with a new touch, Super Mario Bros. is the game for you. You have all the classic characters and styles with new technology. I LOVE the mini-games. They are for you if you don't want to play the classic mode, yet you still want to play little games that pertain to the game. The colors and graphics are incredible and it certainly keeps you enthralled for HOURS.
I hope these suggestions have helped. Take care!

You should get the Sims 2. I love this game. Its so much fun and so addicting. The game is basically you choose an customize a person to be your player. Then you go through life and there are missions you have to solve. You start out as a hotel manager and then you take care of the hotel an do lots of other stufff. Its so much fun and so addicting. I strongly recommend this game to you. Hope that helps.
