I'm a DJ been doing it for a while. I helped my friend with some mixing for her team's dance routines. Cool Edit is great very simple to use; You can load, chop, play, pitch control and so on. Also if your really serious about it ACID works great. World class DJ's like BT use ACID. And if all else fails two turntables (Vinyl or CD), a mixer, a computer, & some skill can go a long way. By the way some of these software companies will offer you a free demo to try out. Goodluck!

Get any form of song making softwear, reminiscent of MAGIX song Maker (it could cost a bit of), then take a seat at your computer for a number of hours to a couple of days unless you get a fairly good combination. You should be in a position to tear the tracks off cd's or down load them from the web and then import them into the softwear.
