The box doesn't say 'his' or 'her' or anything helping on it! I think maybe it's for both men and women, but I have to open the box to smell it and I don't want to because it is for a gift!

LOL This is a funny question- it is a UNISEX scent- which does in fact mean it is for men AND women. It smells really nice (so I think).

The differences are simply a matter of the amount or concentration of oils in the fragrance. These oils are called "juice." The highest concentration of "juice" is in perfume (or parfum). Next would be Eau de Parfum, then Eau de Toilette, and finally Eau de Cologne. Actually, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne are generally interchangeable, particularly in Men's fragrances. After Shave has the least amount of oils. The higher the concentration of "juice" the longer your fragrance will last, and the less you need to apply. PERFUME (PARFUM) This consists of a 15-30% concentration of perfume essence and is the strongest fragrance available. This means that not only do you need to use less, but also that the fragrance lasts longer, typically for up to 6 hours, depending on skin type. EAU DE PARFUM (EDP) This is lighter than Perfume, with an 8-15% concentration, and so is less expensive but still has long lasting characteristics, from 3 to 5 hours. EAU DE TOILETTE (EDT) This is a lighter more delicate fragrance, with a 4-8% concentration of the essence, and is therefore most suited to everyday use. It is normally less expensive than Eau de Parfum, and lasts for 2 to 4 hours.

I used to sell perfume and cologne, so I can safely tell you that it is a unisex fragrance...for both a man or a woman.
As far as it smelling "masculine" I would have to say no. It is a citrus-based fragrance with a hint of sandalwood thrown in it to try to pass it off as masculine. Once it dries down after sprayed, you can almost smell a baby powder-like scent from it. I don't highly recommend it.
If the gift is for a man...exchange it for Aqua Di Gio.
If it is for a woman...you can never go wrong with Ralph Lauren Romance.

Eadu de perfume is stronger than Eadu Toilette, Perfume mostly used by women. Eadu de cologne & eadu toilette almost same taste just a bitt different for making more sale.

it says toillet water i think but it smells pretty good (it isnt literly toillet water)
