think about it
if u are the 5th seed in the playoffs and you will have to play the 4th seed. The 4th seed is on a roll cuz they start some good players off the bench. and its tough to play them at home.
the team in the 3rd seed has gotten banged up in the last few weeks and have lost like 3 strait going into the playoffs. If you in the 5th seed right now would u purposly lose a game or 2 to drop down to the 6th seed so you can play 3rd seed team?

first of all, it'll hardly ever be that simple....you can't just lose and be like oh i dropped down a spot....chances are you may not even have playoffs clinched and then why on earth would you do that?
besides...no one purposely loses...its unamerican
