I sent some greeting cards out to friends, and most people I sent them to never sent me back one. I didn't send them out to receive them back - but I just think it's a bit strange and rude.

Lil'MissS - I don't do it to receive back, I'm not that pathetic, and have a full family life, but I was just wondering about the psychology of these people, that is all.

Please do not be so negative; you gave the greeting cards out of your heart not so the other person can repay you.

No, it's not rude at all.
Some people don't send out cards. I did not send out cards, but I received several. When I used to send cards I never once received as many cards as I sent.

Too early, perfect time-body is 6-8 weeks beforehand the marriage. That way, human beings experience obliged to RSVP right away and could not positioned your invite aside or ignore. Sorry, sounds like you're gonna ought to purchase those more beneficial stamps... i trust your soreness about the postage costs going up....i purchased those stunning disney stamps (much!) to deliver out thanks notes after the marriage. Our wedding ceremony is April 17th, 2009 yet we should not be decrease back from our 2 week honeymoon until eventually would fifth, and that i doubt i will have time to jot down all the thanks notes and deliver them beforehand would 11th. Oh, and that i imagine stamps are going up with the help of 2c each and each, not 1c. good success and congrats! EDIT: playstation , Panther is erroneous! you may't deliver out invitations 3 weeks beforehand, maximum places make you supply a very last headcount about 3-4 weeks beforehand the marriage. bypass with 2 months.

This happens to me to, people I send cards to every year never send one back, but I have a few friends that do. Don't take it personal a lot of people just don't want to spend the time to do it.

No, I don't know. Maybe they don't think of it that way. I am sure they are thinking of you. It was thoughtful to send them out. People don't usually respond to cards, but send them before they receive any. If they feel like it.

umm....some people just simply are so wrapped up in buying gifts and planning dinners and all that bunch that sending out cards kinda gets lost in the midst. i for one NEVER remember to buy cards to send out b/c my mind is totally somewhere else when shopping. i wouldn't take it personal. it would be a lil rude if they didn't mention the card or say thank you.

No, it's a personal decision to send them. I send them every year to family and never get a response. It's something that I have always do and will continue to do.

Well, you can cross those people who didn't reciprocate off your list for next year. Or, you can give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the cost of stamps is prohibitive for some or they were just too busy. I wouldn't dwell on it. Life goes on.

It is ok if they don't send you one because we all make mistakes and forget sometimes so I would say forgive and forget. If you knew that preson for a long time then be ok but see if it got lost in the mail or something. if you didn't know that preson for a long time give them time to find your email adress or mail adress.
