This site is recommended for players over the age of thirteen, but has restricted (adult) content for those over the age of eighteen:
http://newgrounds.com

Addicting games boasts some of the same games, but are more kid friendly and safe for work:
http://addictinggames.com

Both of those sites are pretty much pop-up free. You might need a current version of FlashPlayer, but they are fun. The Newgrounds site is full of flash games made by everyday people that are of exceptional quality and has some links to other game sites.

Good luck.

A few good game sites would be www.miniclip.com , www.gsn.com , www.games.com , www.games.yahoo.com , www.abcarcade.com and www.pogo.com. Hope this helps! I notice the kids playing these games on these websites at school, so, I assume they must be good. ( I prefer using miniclip and abcarcade because they have a better variety =])
