Hi everyone, I know that some people don't feel that a 13 year old should still be having birthday celebrations, right? But I love celebrating it. All these years, I've done something special for my son. I've thrown him a surprise party (when he turned 10). I took him and his friends to play lazer tag on his 11th birthday and I took them all once again Paintballing when he turned 12. Now that he is turning 13, I don't know what to do. I have ran out of ideas. His friends all love his birthday and to be honest, so do I. I love seeing them have fun together cause they are all good kids. I am friends with all their moms and they trust me to take them wherever I choose. Please give me some good ideas ..... Thanks

A friend of mine gave her 13-year-old son a dance party for his birthday. They rented a small hall, set up a buffet of munchies, used a good stereo system (though some halls have their own which you can use) and invited the whole class. They had prizes, games, etc. (even a cheesy disco ball!) and the kids loved it. Everyone had a great time. Ask around and see if you can find a place which will rent the hall to you on the cheap since you'll only need it for a few hours. She did it at a union hall, though you can also check out things like Legions or service group buildings. They will usually let you use it for a small donation if you agree to be responsible for clean-up and any damages.

wow 9 boys - you're courageous! I even have an 11 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old brother and he could extremely like a occasion like that. Get them a very particular 'nighttime' ceremonial dinner. you ought to do fondue chocolate / toast marshmallows over an open hearth, as this could take time and is relaxing and yummy to boot! it relies upon on how mature your son and the different boys are as to in the event that they could like the video games you organise. some ought to snicker on your face, yet others ought to savor it. i think of you could ask your son what he could choose for to do and get some strategies. i think this could be his final kiddy sleepover as whilst he's 14 he will in all possibility be desiring something greater individual. Sounds relaxing so some distance nonetheless! x

If it helps, I just turned 13 and my twin sister and I had a dance party ( even though I hate dancing) but I'm female and your son might not want a dance party. You could take him and friends lazer-tagging or take them to a concert or something.

Skating party held during regular Friday or Saturday night hours, invite the required number, and know that most of their friends will most likely be there too, and the boys can lookie-loo at the girls and be all embarrassed cause Mom is there. I'm in my third year of skate parties, my kids and their friends love them.

I was a 13 year old boy many years ago. Let me tell you what I wanted was a day of riding go-karts. Shoot, those things are a blast, I think I'm gonna leave work early today and go riding.

Take them to a local sporting event like a baseball game. Or movie and pizza or sports complex that has a rock wall for climbing!

Ask his freinds what he is into? Or just give him money to go to the movies with his friends? Or better yet take them to SIX FLAGS or SEA WORLD. Find a theme park that is close to you and see how much it would bee. I Bet he would enjoy that.
