No, and if it is you have an infection or something of some sort. They checked my white blood cells to check for a UTI and she said it would be off if I had one, otherwise it wouldn't.

It is possible for your white blood cell count to be affected, it generally means that there is an infection. Check out this article and read under "complete blood count":

My doctor said your white blood cell count goes up a bit during pregnancy llargely because your blood volume doubles during pregnancy, but your red blood cell count does not. So as a result, you have a higher porportion of wbc's. Also explains some of the light headedness, etc. because you have fewer oxygen-carrying, oxygen rich red cells coursing through your veins.
Anyway, that's what my OB told me and he said it was normal.

Yes, your white cell count can be a little elevated. It does significatly elevate during the last month and right before labor as your body prepares.
But anything super elevated could mean an infection.
