The previous answerers are correct; this is all a myth.

But if you want to be mystical about it, I would go with an equilateral triangle. That would make your pyramid exactly half of an octahedron. The angles on each face would be 60°, and the slope of a single face would be 54.7°.

Sorry, it doesn't work. Dr. Zahi Hawass is the Director of the Giza Plateau, and Director of Antiquities for Egypt. He once tried out some of the myths just for laughs, using the Great Pyramid of Khufru itself. He placed a sandwich inside the pyramid, and a second, identical one on his desk. The pyramid didn't help keep the sandwich fresh at all--in fact, the one on his desk stayed fresher!
