How many times a day/week/month do you say it? How frequently is too much? Can it ever be too much?

Hehe, my typing is appalling isn't it!
Great answers so far, always nice to hear so many people say positive things.
I've found a lot of people say it far too little - I always say it. I tell friends and family too - if you love some one - tell them!

Me and my husband of 27 years tell each other many many times during each and every day. Just say it when it feels right. Thers no do's or dont's about it. As often or as little as you both feel is the need to.

Every day. People start taking advantage of each other the longer they stay together & saying ' I love you ' is a good way of letting the other know that you do appreciate them & that yes, you love them!
I tell my hubby several times a day & he does the same. Also, neither of us hangs up the phone w/o telling each other " I love you "- just our own habits, but we're still very, very happy with each other!

At least once a day--I don't think it can ever be too much. So many people take others for granted. One can't assume that the other person just "knows". Saying it is so important!! :)

You only say it 'too much' when you say it often and without meaning. I'm the type who utters those 3 words only if necessary.

It's kinda like someone saying 'sorry,' for something they do over and over again. The word loses its context and eventually you won't be able to believe them.

Actually yes you can say it too much. Then it becomes hollow, and doesn't sound like you mean it any more. Also the person you say it to won't appreciate it as much. say it as often as necessary...not when she starts asking or getting mad...but some days she might need to hear it more than others....go with the situation.Tell them when they need to hear it

Of course, everyone should just say it spontaneously sometimes, but with my husband, I always say it #1-Ending a phone conversation. #2- When he or I leave to go somewhere & #3- At night before we go to sleep. It's like a little superstition of mine. If, God forbid, something were to happen to one of us, I want to know that the last thing we said to each other was "I love you."

Not a matter of quantity, but rather quality.......Thus whenever you feel it. I know folks that say it so much, it no longer sounds sincere.
It's kinda like the F word, that's used much too often for E/THING

I have been married for 16 yrs and every time i look at my husband i think he is the sexiest man alive, i tell him i love him all the time, it isn't sad or lame, it is lovely, if you love someone enough it should just come out of your mouth without thinking about it. just keep saying it, I LOVE YOU, its easy with practice!
