I have had questions removed twice and both times I get a letter stating that I have violated guidelines. They were both legitimate questions. It frustrates me that they do not list what exact guideline I have broken, so that I do not make the mistake again. I am guessing that the reason is because I didn't put the question in exact question format and it was listed more as a topic. Normally people don't report this, but my questions were contraversial. I think someone was offended and just reported it to be an ___, even though it was a serious question. Has anyone else had this happen?

Myhoi2 you can think I am a loser for advocating equality of the sexes if you wish. That is your choice. I won't lose sleep over it at night, because strong in what I believe, weither anyone else excepts them or not. That is why America is a great place. Have a good day!

Right, and you try to ask them what guideline you violated and they cant even tell you. Sometimes they suck, I have never gotten an actual response from them, only that same copy and pasted response.
Sometimes, blah, blah, blah. Thank you for contacting, blah, blah, blah.

Yeah man I agree, it's stupid sometimes. I asked a question and it got removed..it was a serious question..not mean in any way to anybody, and it was deleted. No real reason why. I was mad, so I reworded the question and asked it again...nobody complained so it stuck.
Look at some of the questions on here that people get away with, it's really insane!

Oh, yes. I think it happens to every Yahoo Q+A user at some point. I had someone slam me with an abuse report and violation notice within an hour of asking a legitimate question. I think some people report "abuse" mainly for revenge or to get their kicks.

This happened to me today actually. I posted a question about the 9-11 documentary "Loose Change" and it got removed. I couldn't believe it. I was looking forward to everyone's opinion.
Not specific reason for it either. I was furious.

Nope, that has not happened to me yet, but I understand what you are trying to get across. I think yahoo is not fair and should put a mroe exact guideline.

Take great care in your questions and answers.... the YA PC police can, and do, deactivate "violators" Yahoo accounts... you can lose every thing you have accociated with Yahoo... no appeal and no honest explination.... it is not just single questions or answers that can be deleted... you can be deleted from Yahoo compleatly and irrevocably.... No joke...truth

It is difficult to make a comment without knowing what your question was. Just remember yahoo caters to a very diverse crowd. What might not seem offensive to you might be very offensive to someone else.

and sometimes you just have ppl come on here and report questions and answers for violations just for the fun of it....its one of the many irritations of being on here. just ignore them, you will not get a direct answer from yahoo.
