I wear anywhere from a size 7-7 and a half in women's shoes usually, and I want to buy a pair of uggs but the sizing confuses me. When I measured my foot it was exactly 9 and a half inches and their website's size chart says that is the equivalent of a US size 7 and a half and a UK/Australia/New Zealand 5 and a half but since uggs don't come in half sizes do I buy a 5 or a 6?
*Also, will this allow me to wear socks with them, and how much do they stretch? I have never worn these boots before and I'm trying to buy them online in a hurry since I am leaving on a trip and no stores around me have them in stock at the moment, so any help from those of you who have worn the brand before would be helpful! Thanks!*

Buy a 6, you will have extra room for socks. Uggs don't stretch much, which is good because they retain their shape. When you get them too small, it's really uncomfortable.

Hi! When I got my first pair of Uggs, they were running big. I wear an 8.5/9 US size, and my first pair was a very comfy 8. However for Christmas my husband bought me the Rainiers, and he got me an 8, and they were way too tight, but the 9 was perfect. Remember the toe is not enforced, and you don't want yours to be peeking out of the front lol, much like what eventually happened with my old ones. I would go with the size above yours in US sizing, so grab a pair in a US size 8 if you are normally a 7/7.5

I have been wearing Ugg's since....forever! In regular shoes, I wear a women's 9....also in Ugg's I wear a women's 9-that's what the tag inside says.
You dont wear socks with them-if you do, they will take them off for you...if you dont understand what I mean, try it, you'll get a laugh out of it when your boots steal your socks!
They fit snug at first, but that's all the shearling wool inside. It will pack down with wear. They also stretch out a bit, but not too much.
You can throw them in the washer and dryer to clean them....no problem! I have, many, many times.
Also, if you can return them....get two or three pairs? Try them on at home, return the ones that dont fit, but check the return policy first...you dont want to get stuck with 3 pairs of boots! Although...they are nice..but if they dont fit...
And whoever said Ugg's were "over" or out of style is too worried about high school trends! Comfy, great footwear is *always* in style! Im wearing them right now!!! I love my Ugg's!

You do not wear socks with them, i have 3 pairs and your not supposed to becuase you want them to form to your foot, also you should just go with the size that the website says and if they are not correct them just return them or go into a store to buy them and try them on so your sure! Good luck!

DO NOT BY UGGS THEY ARE DONE THAT SHIP HAS SAILED! ok ill calm down, by something thats cheeper looks better and is easier to clean!!!!!! go out and by some chucks or some nice heels from nordstrom.
