well yea there is a very fine line between love and hate....and if ur hurt very badly by someone its very easy to turn ur feelings of love for them into hate

I would expect that's strongly possible. Look at the mates that murder their mates!
However, I heard once that the opposite of love is indifference.
And I do believe that. Because I had come to that point with my X. And actually to hear or see of him, no longer creates anger for the pain he created. But rather the joy of not having anything to do with him.

hate is a defense mechanism when you are in emotional pain but if you trully loved that person you will always have a place in your heart for them after all the pain of losing them subsides.
