-First off, check his/her temperature.
If there is no fever, that is a really good thing.
-Does he/her have a runny nose, a cough. Are they sick???
-If your little one isn't sick and is crying, check her/his teeth to see if a tooth is coming in and hurting. Put some baby orejal on the gums where a tooth may be coming in.
-If you think it isn't the teeth, then it could be he/she is hungry? If you know that he/she isn't hungry or thirsty and still wont stop crying. Then maybe it's just nap time.
Sometimes a child will cry non stop because there overly tired. Put your little one down in the crib and let him/her cry for a little while. If they don't stop crying after 30 minutes then go in there and lay him/her down again with a bottle.
Wait another 15 minutes and see if that works. IF she/he still is crying, and you have tried everything else I listed, then it's time to call the doctor and take your baby in.
Does he/her pull on his/her ears at all. Because if they pull on there ears they have an ear infection and that can really hurt sometimes.
I bet is, is that he/she is really tired.
I hope anyway, that's what it is and it's not something serious.
Good luck.

They cry for a reason and that is to let you know something is wrong. Try not to get shook up, stay calm.
Check for fever, if no fever check to see if the belly is tight. The baby could be constipated so try a warm soothing bath and some juice.
It never hurts to take them to the Doctor because it is always better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck

Is your child stretched out while crying?
While holding him/her if they completely straight while crying it could be a sign of gas... give the appropriate dosage of Mylicon gas drops and a few pats on the back... that should do the trick.
Try a little humming, walking around... see if he/she needs to be changed / fed...
It could also be teething -- see if his/her gums are red... if so, Baby Orajel swab or a very small dose of Infant's Tylenol will do the trick.
There are so many reasons why children will cry - and we as parents just have to try to find out why.
Best of luck.

Cuddle and comfort, change diaper, or bottle milk. Take a car ride. But if the baby has really been crying for 2 hours straight, I'd take the baby to the pediatrician, maybe they can squeeze you in. Good luck.

Try holding her. Talk to her. Sing to her. New Borns can sence or anxiety. Try to relax. And remember it is never ok to shake a baby. It can cause SHAKEN BABY SYNDROM. It is hard being a new mother It was hard for me. Just give it time. Try every thing you know. And if you feel overwelmed call a friend to come help. I would help you if I were there. But, Freinds and Family can do a better job than a stanger can. So keep your chin up. And go love your baby.

I'm not a mother and won't be for a long time, and I have no experience, but I will try to help you as to what my mom or what other mom's would do. Just hold your baby and cradle him/her. Walk around the house with him/her for a while.
