Hiking -- seriously, you'd be surprised what it out there, 5 or 10 minutes from your own back door -- we're all always so busy -- research it via your local conservation society, etc., find some nearby walking trails, leave the cell phone and the Ipod behind and have a nice quiet peaceful walk -- every once and a while look further afield and plan a whole day outing

Stamp Collecting, if you don't go crazy about it.
Magic cards are reletivly cheap, if you get like 4,000 or whatever off of ebay for 20$.
Board Games can be cheap, if you look in the right places. (Carcassonne and Dutch Blitz are games you can find cheap anywhere, but Amazon is the easiest)
Collecting music is pretty cheap, and you'll be surprised how fast your collection grows!
Plant Collecting is cheap, but kinda messy.
Anything artsy (besides collecting works of art) is cheap, such as painting or writing poetry, and it really has a possitive influent on your character.
At of all of those, the last one is probebly the best way to go!

If you have a freind then stand at the side of the road and tell your freind to count the cars, which comes from up and you count the cars coming down. Its fun I always beat my freind because for every car I count 3 heeeheeeheee.

there is always something going on in your community in the news paper alot are free
