I just started my third pack of the pill. I was wondering, I have been cramping now for the past month and a half now. It's not as bad as it usually is during my period, it's not very painful, but it's noticeable and I was wondering if that was a normal side effect or something I should inquire about with my doctor right away. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.

I have been on ortho tri-cyclen lo for 4 and a half years now. So from an experienced point of view, cramping while you're not on your period is not a normal side effect. Hormonal fluxations are normal and sometimes headaches, but never cramping.
So you should see your obgyn and change your perscription. Ortho tri-cyclen lo isnt for everybody. My best friend used to take it and had complications with it so she just changed to something else.
So, see the doc and change your perscription you shouldnt have to be in pain because of a dumb pill.

when i first got on the pill 3 years ago, I had bad pains and a period for like 3 months, then slowly it started getting better on schedule, but i still get bad cramps the day before and like 2 days after i get it. You might want to ask him anyways because it may be different for some people, but i've been on it for 3 years like i said, and i told my doctor and she told me it was normal for me, but it may just depents. hope everything works out!
