that is a tough question. i feel it is right and wrong. if iraqis had overthrown him i would have to say i agree. his crime is stopping assasination attempts and attempts to overthrow his government. the fact that an outside force removed him makes it just more interference in the ME. a cause of most of the problems in the ME. his death will most likely elevate the violence.

The verdict was very good and was done under Iraqi law.
I don't think that this verdict is going to cause any turmoil in Iraq. It might help, who knows until the sentence is carried out.

Basically, the whole Iraq experiment is such a disaster that I really don't think it matters either way what happens to Saddam at this point. The whole place is imploding into civil war so rapidly that I honestly don't believe there really is anything America can do anymore except leave. We'll just be supporting one faction of Iraqis vs another faction of Iraqis.

I think it was a step towards the healing of a nation. No I think there will be a little blip of whiners, but on the whole, the nation can begin to move forward. The Shiite and the Kurds will be positively ecstatic. I suspect even some of the Sunni's will be glad its over too.

There have been individuals whose actions are so heinous that they exceed societies ability to adequately punish. i.e. Hitler, Idi Amin, I think Saddam certainly falls in this category. Hanging is a moderate soloution, personally I think he should be publically beheaded and that should be put on pay per view, the income from this used to defray the costs of the war.

Excellent question. I oppose the death penalty, so I have to say that I oppose Saddam Hussein's verdict. That said, if there is anyone who deserves the death penalty, it's him!
