Ha! That song just came on the radio. "To get rolled on".. means either a drive by style murder or a robbing by force scenario.

You ever see those gangster/ hood movies when someone is preparing for a drive-by and they say, "When getting ready to roll on these fools".....meaning you are going to continue to roll away in the car after you just killed someone.

A rainmaker is more complex than that. He brings in business, resources,, contacts, the best personnel. He "makes the business happen well"; he's crucial to the business's operation. But the short side of calling the rainmaker a "money magnet" probably works if we're not looking at all the details. We can think of this as a farmer may think: looking up to the skies, without rain, there cannot be crops, and thus the business of farming cannot succeed. Farmers praying for rain aren't asking for their business of farming to be short-circuited so that there's no work for them to do; they're asking for help with what they cannot control - the rain. In actual practice, a rainmaker could be bringing anything necessary to a business. No oner would faulty you, however, for saying that the rainmaker is bringing money to a business.
