You don't generally have bleeding equivalent to a menstrual cycle, but some women do have spotting caused by the fertilized egg attaching to the uterus. If you believe you are pregnant or have tested positive, you should see a doctor. Although the above mentioned spotting is usually not a problem, the bleeding could be indicative of other problems that should be checked by your ob/gyn.

Sometimes some light bleeding occurs within 2-7 days of conception (due to implantation of the embryo in the lining of the uterus).
Light, intermittent bleeding during the first 22 weeks of pregnancy is not uncommon at all.
Some women bleed at the time they would normally get their period and therefore do not suspect they are pregnant until later.

Sometimes - it's known as implantation bleeding - it occurs in about 25% of women. This happens after conception.

Yes ... some, but not all women experience "implantation bleeding". It can be anywhere from a small droplet to a light flow, for a day or two.

Actually- it can.
When a fertilized egg burrows into the nutirent lining in the uterus, it sometimes causes some spotting. This spotting is called "implantation bleeding".
It COULD be implantation, it COULD be from an irritable cervix, or it COULD be nothing of consequence.

no. bleeding has nothing to do with conception. I'd stop having sex until you learn a little more about how it works.

I've often been told that women bleed. Any woman I have spoken to has said they bled, and bled for a while also. Some said they bled for months.

Not always! I didn't bleed once with my first daughter and I did twice with this pregnancy. Depends on the person and the pregnancy!
