My question is basically..... how hard is it? What extra material do they teach you that they don't teach in a regulars course. I like math a lot and thats why I'm asking. Also do you learn a little of Trig. or calculus in algebra 2 or do you have to wait till pre cal to be introduced?

Do you mean Pre AP(Advanced Placement) classes? I've never heard of a Pre AP class. They have AP classes for Algebra and Geometry? I didn't think those classes were advanced enough to be AP. But anyways, I'm a freshman in high school taking Honors Geometry, and we learn a minimal amount of trig. Mostly geometry. Algebra, you probably won't get any trig.
And as far as being different than a regular class, you'll probably learn the same math in more detail, like how the really complex formulas actually work, instead of just knowing what they do.

I haven't heard of these classes before, but from my own experience in math (im a math major in college now), you probably won't start any calculus until precalc because of the logic way algebra and trig build up to what you learn in precalculus.
