nope they won't hurt. It helps to bring someone there with u. And try not to look at the needle when the doctor injects.. Look away and talk to your friend. Suck a sweet. Anything to keep your mind off. Good Luck!

Hi Harriet :) We are all nervous about needles. Some more than others. Of course bring someone with you for comfort if you can. The injection should not feel too bad. You must be relaxed and not tense up your muscles or the injection will be difficult.Try laughter with the person you bring along, tell each other a funny story or joke. And when you get the needle do not look directly at it ,but relax and look away, and the next thing you know.....it will be all over :)

You should be able to have someone with you. Don't worry! Just remember it's for the best. I pass out every single time I get my blood taken and I can't help it.. So, what the nurses do is give me a lolly pop (no joke) and when I eat it-it takes my mind off of the needle. Try that. It works for me and I get candy! Ha! :o)

in most cases, you can bring someone with you. when getting the injections, don't look at the needle and try counting or do something to occupy your mind. I know it's hard but, try not to tighten your muscles. I think they tell you it's better to relax them.
good luck!
and God bless!

It's ok to be scared, most people are! ticks that I tell my patients include focusing on one body part such as your toes or fingers, wiggle them or separte them. Usually this trick works by simple diversion. If you want to bring someone with just let the healthcare person know. Most importantly let them know how nervous you are so if you pass out or become light-headed they are ready.
