I had a miscarriage in August when i was 10 weeks pregnant, then i went on the pill in september, I didnt get my period in october so i took home pregnancy tests, they resulted in negative. I thought the pill was just messing my cycle up..so i went on with my life. Realizing a few weeks later i was in fact pregnant, 10 weeks by this point, due to complications and what not i had an abortion November 29, 2006
I did not wait the 2 weeks after havin the abortion b4 havin sex again, we had alot of unprotected sex. I took a pregnancy test and it said positive but it could be the old hormone left in me or a new one. I went to the doc and got a blood test done and it said pregnant .I have been spotting brown discharge and very light bleeding.its not constant but every couple of days it happens again.
I'm goin for a second blood test, to see if the hormone has risen or decreased to find out if i am pregnant.
what do u think the chances of me being pregnant or it being the old hormone

You'll just have to wait for the results of the test. No one on here knows what the chances are better than you doctor does. Try following medical advice for a change.

What did your Doctor say? I would take that into consideration first. But I think that if your first blood test said positive, when you've been having unprotected sex (you can get pregnant again the day after an abortion - and you can spot during pregnancy, even have your full blown period) then it's probably a pretty good chance, you're pregnant.

well chances are it is still your hormones, but of ocurse there is a possibility. Why arent you protecting yourelf? I know it's not easy having an abortion, so why put yourself through 3 unwanted pregnancies in a matter of a few months? Abortion should not be a form of birth control. One accident or what not fine, but there sould be no reason for more than one with all the birth control options available. best of luck and for your sake i hope it ends up being a negative that you are pregnant.

Hmm...what's the point of even going to the doctor if you don't take their advice. Given the fact that you had already experienced a miscarriage and an abortion so close together, couldn't you have just given up sex for a couple of months? Chances of you being pregnant are, unfortunately, pretty good.

Yes you can be pregnant. The pill is not 100% effective, so even if you are on birth control that doesn't mean you won't get pregnant. It sounds like with your history you should discuss a different form of birth control, like the cervical cap, or diaphragm. Until then, avoid intercourse, or use a condom. If he protests, consider finding someone else. Your health may be in jeopardy. Abortion and miscarriage take their toll. Though it sounds like your body wants to be pregnant.

If you have been having alot of unprotected sex, you are most likely pregnant. A woman's body is most susceptable to conceiving after she has had a baby or has had an abortion. If you are still having spotting, it could be due to the abortion and the intercourse. This could last up to a month. Good luck to you.

I'm sorry to hear that you chose to end the life of your baby. I'm even more sorry to hear that you are not responsible enough to make sure it never happens again. I know society doesn't seem to have any problems with killing babies, but that's exactly what you are doing...killing your baby. If you are indeed pregnant again, you need to have an ultrasound and see the life that is inside of you. I beg you to consider adoption..there are so many couples wishing to adopt babies.
In the meantime, you need to get your life in order. God loves you and wants the very best for you, and it is obvious that you are not living the life that He intended. You are headed for a life of heartache. I know because I've been there....believe me, it's much easier to do things God's way. The blessings and rewards are limitless. Are you trying to get pregnant????? Because if you already had an abortion why on earth would you have unprotected sex two week later???? Give your poor body a rest and stop having unprotected sex and getting pregnant.
